About me

Hi I'm Jenifer.

I am the creator and owner, the hands and brains, of Cantaloupe Corner.
I am also a SAHM of 2 sweet little mischevious boys. They keep me on my toes and fill my heart and home with love and laughter!

My superhero name is "Craft Maiden"
(I was lovingly given this name by my adorable hubby.)

I have an insatiable desire to create things which leads me to the fact that I usually have at least 10 projects going at a time. (And at least 20 I need to start right now!)

I also switch my hobby so often it makes my hubby dizzy. In the last 2-3 years I've taken on screenprinting, stencilling, headband making, sewing cloth diapers, photography, fine art painting, home decorating, knitting, beading, furniture refinishing, polymer clay jewelry and models, gardening, quilting, cake decorating, dog training, appliqueing, baking, candle making, soap making, solar cooking, food storage, and even a little bit of graphic design. On top of that, I am a bit of a health nut (ok, more than a bit).

I have a deep love of music (which includes my precious antique piano and my red guitar) I love to play and sing along, when I have time.  I'm a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll!

I love being a SAHM and I love that I can work from home and contribute to the world, as well as to our family, and feed my desire to create!

Stay tuned for the next chapter of . . .The Adventures of Craft Maiden!

So why "Cantaloupe Corner"?

When my husband was younger his family would drive through the Salt River Canyon here in AZ quite often. The grades are very steep and the roads are very windey. Once when he was about 10 years old, his family was on their way to Phoenix and they were heading around a very sharp curve in the canyon when they noticed that a truck had tipped and spilled it's entire load on the side of the road. When they got closer they noticed it was a whole truck full of Cantaloupes strewn all across the highway!

From that day on they called that turn in the road "Cantaloupe Corner". Even now as we drive through the Salt River Canyon with our boys my hubby tells us the story. . . every time.

I wonder if there are any wild Cantaloupe plants growing down there?  Fresh, ripe, sweet, yummy cantaloupe.

The more I thought of Cantaloupe Corner the more I thought about a corner market full of fresh picked fruits and veggies. I'm all about health and nutrition so Cantaloupe Corner was the perfect name to bring my love of freshness together with my colorful freshly printed t-shirts.

Has a nice ring to it. . . Cantaloupe Corner.

We don't sell fruit but we offer fresh picked designs. They grow wild around here :)
